Each day the sun rises, as does Santo. He prepares for his long journey on foot, traveling to one of the four congregations he pastors. He has compassion and courage, but not complaints. He faces disease and depression, but he is filled with determination. He presses on through fatigue and famine to minister to families. Though he is joyful, the journey is wearisome. Then, IT arrived.
Through the generosity of those who support Global Impact, we were able to purchase a motorcycle for Brother Santo to aid in his travel efforts. This is a game-changer for his ministry! Now, more of his time will be spent WITH the families, rather than traveling TO them. He still has miles to go between congregations on different days of the week, but this vehicle will make all the difference in reaching more people on any given day. Church plants are vastly needed as the people are hungry for the Word of the Lord. “…How shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14 This new means of transportation will make his mission of more churches in the Democratic Republic of Congo a reality.
There is still much to be done. Pray for new pastors to rise up and lead new congregations. With new congregations comes the need for new church dwellings. DONATE now and be a part of the growth in the Congo and other parts of East Africa. Your partnership can make all the difference.
