Three members of our Global Team, as well as a Pastor from Georgia, launched out on a ground-breaking mission trip in August/September. Our trip this year was two-fold: To launch a Bible training Center in Uganda AND to connect with congregations in Mahagi, Congo, as there has not been a missionary there since 1911. The trip was successful on both counts.
In Uganda, there were 62 Pastors and Bible workers who turned out from three countries: Uganda, Congo, and South Sudan. The attendees were grateful to have several members of our team clarify and provide tools for teaching the Bible to their congregations. The Word was "rightly divided" and only God knows the impact of this first of many training sessions for the people of Eastern Africa.
In the Congo, 150 church goers turned out for two days of singing, preaching, baptizing, and much more. Connections were made and the people were grateful to have had missionaries come to visit their people. Our missionaries were touched deeply, and we look forward to serving the Congolese people going forward.
