Racking or Preparation

July 5, 2023Baptism in the DRC
A long journey. A dirt road. Bare feet. Travel through the brush. Hunger looming. Little ones in tow. Why do they do it?
None of these are excuses when you have accepted Christ as Savior and are excited to share with the world your obedience in believer’s baptism. The people of the Congo do not have paved roads and moving vehicles to travel in. They do not have a baptistry building to change their clothes in. They do not have a clean, heated baptism pool in which to be submerged for the representation of being buried in death and raised in life. They do not have comfortable pews to watch their loved ones take this big step in their life.
What they DO have is the love of a Savior who is now King of their lives, and their determination to follow the Lord’s leading is inspirational. They have such joy to embrace this opportunity of obedience. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, they don’t see excuses. The only thing they have is a willing soul, a worthy Savior, and a want for service to the King of Kings. Donate now to continue the spread of the gospel in this field that is ripened to harvest.
