In poverty-stricken areas of the world, impoverished children often lack hope. By building schools, we can provide solid Christian education that offers them a brighter future beyond their lifetime on earth.

Where Opportunity is Scarce

Nebbi is a small village in NW Uganda with a population of approximately 41,400 people.

Their economic challenges include poor infrastructure, limited market access, lack of resources, limitations by government, and land issues.

Additionally, they face severe financial challenges, with the average income of $2-$3/day, leaving little opportunity for a quality, affordable, Christian education.

Opening Doors Through Education

In 2014, we were able to partner with Nebbi Baptist Church in Uganda to build a primary school. (Pre-K – 7th Grade) This school has the capacity to educate 400 children from preschool through grade 7.

Their education is essential to put them on a path where they can strive, survive, and thrive throughout their life. They are taught all the core curriculum needed for their education, but also learn how to build crucial life skills, such as good character, morals, and hygiene.

By providing a Christian education, the children are pointed to Christ in every aspect of their school experience, giving them hope for a better future while here on earth and hope beyond the grave.

Expanding the Educational Path

In 2023, we were able to partner again with Nebbi Baptist Church in Uganda to build a secondary school (8th - 13th Grade), starting with an academic building. In 2024, a multipurpose building was added to provide an area for meals, combined assembly, and more. The school was also able to acquire two modular buildings for dorms. We were also able to put a well on the school grounds to provide clean drinking/bathing water for the students and faculty, where previously a river was their only source of water.

The secondary school is imperative for the students’ education, well-being, confidence, health, character, and spiritual condition. As these children/teens grow into adults, they realize they have been given a firm foundation in which to build the rest of their lives. It is a foundation that gives them hope for the future, in this life and after.

Partnering with a Common Goal

Global Impact Ministries has also partnered with another nonprofit organization to provide sponsorships for the students. Hearts United supplies an avenue to financially support these children in their education and health, including school tuition, supplies, and malaria screenings and prevention.
